ITINERARY BY DAY
DAY 1: HUE – VINH MOC – DONG HOI (-/L/-)
At 08:00am depart Hue and head for Quang Tri province. Along the way, you will stop at a number of different battle sites to see the La Vang Church, the Quang Tri Citadel, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge and the Seventeenth Parallel – the former borderline between North and South Vietnam during the war. In the afternoon, you will visit the Vinh Moc tunnels where North Vietnamese guerilla fighters lived and fought. Lunch on the way. Continue on our way to Dong Hoi and check in at your hotel and then relax. Dinner on your own.

DAY 2: DONG HOI – PHONG NHA CAVE – HUE (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel.
08:00 Drive to Phong Nha Cave – a World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 2003. Upon arrival, the group will travel by boat along the river to a complex of caves. After a short hike up the ‘300 steps’, you will have the chance to explore these caves with their hundreds of glistening stalactites (rock structures hanging from cave ceiling) and stalagmites (rock structures erected from cave floor) in various shapes and sizes. Continue your journey sailing down the river and into a limestone mountain cave. Inside the cave, you can leave the boat and walk through the stalactites and stalagmites.
After lunch, return to Hue.
