Their gift is the ability to play a wide range of traditional musical instruments. The short show is filled with song, instrumentation, theatrics and passion. Guests are left with a sense of having ventured ‘behind the scenes’ in a comfortable family setting, having indulged in plenty of surprise and delight at this special musical performance.

Arts and Artisanry Music Performance

Arrive at Truc Mai House (at a prearranged time) where you will be invited with some tea. You are at the home of Mrs. Tuyet Mai and Mr. Dinh Linh, who have both learned at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. They are long time specialists of conventional music and have been agents of Vietnam performing in nations far and wide. Music has been a Vietnam enthusiasm and side interest for some eras. Farmland nighttimes were oft passed with villagers accumulated in a field playing customary instruments to while away time.

This visit highlights an extraordinary, universally perceived family known for their musical ability. Their blessing is playing conventional musical instruments and the scope of customary instruments they play well is inconceivable. The visit happens in their family home. Their home is a warm, welcoming space where they perform imparting their enthusiasm diverting visitors to conventional Vietnamese music.

Vietnamese musical instruments, however extremely basic, are truly intriguing and alluring to abroad individuals for their sound and extraordinary qualities. Appreciate a short show! After the show, you’ll have the chance to play all of the numerous customary instruments yourself in the midst of kind instructing and chuckling from your hosts!
