After you’re picked up at your hotel you’ll head out on the drive to Halong Bay – a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, making a short stop en route in Hai Duong to visit crafts workshops, where you’ll see marble stone sculptures, plaque paintings, and hand-embroidered items.
On your full-day excursion you’ll continue on the scenic drive to Halong Bay, reaching the city pier at around 12:00 pm, and board board a traditional wooden junk and start the cruising trip to the centre of the bay.
You’ll be greeted with a welcome drink and then enjoy a fresh seafood lunch (vegetarian menu available) is served while the boat cruises further to the bay. Many amazing islands can be found such as Fighting Cocks (symbol of Halong Bay) Islet, Finger Islet, Incense Burner Islet, and Stone Dog Islet. You’ll have a chance to take in the tranquil beauty and breathtaking scenery from the deck of the boat.
After lunch, visit to Thien Cung’s magnificent grotto, one of the major ones in the archipelago. Accessible after a short walk up an islet amidst the rain forest, this recently discovered 130-meters long cave is now a real attraction, with amazing shapes and state-of-the-art lightshow. After this visit, the cruise will offer you a lunch on board while getting back to Halong City. Driver transfers you back to Hanoi city.
